Senior Quantity Surveyor
Salary: £70,000-£80,000
Are you an ambitious and committed Senior Quantity Surveyor looking for an exciting hybrid-working opportunity to contribute to a major road improvement scheme and progress within the role?
My client is seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join their specialist VRS installation team within the catchment area of Slough.
They are a market leading specialist highways maintenance company operating throughout the country and are continuing to grow as a business with new innovative approaches to their projects year on year.
The Senior Quantity Surveyor role will consist of:
·Regular site visits as the project progresses
·Liaising with senior members of the site delivery and commercial teams to ensure the project is delivered smoothly and on time
·Monitor contract costs and report financial performance back to site managers on a monthly basis
·Communication with the accounts department to track client payments
·Use existing industry knowledge to provide support and guidance within the team
·Continuous opportunities for self-development with training given on bespoke software and regular encouragement to evaluate own strengths and limitations within the role
·Progression opportunities available for the right candidate
To be considered, candidates should have:
·Must have experience with VRS
·Working knowledge of NEC3, NEC4, CECA and other Forms of Contract
·CSCS Card
·Commercial qualifications and experience of the construction industry
·Microsoft Office literate
·Full driving license and access to own transport
·Attributes of a self-starter and team player
·Strong organisational skills and the ability to prioritise workloads
·Concise communication skills
·Excellent commercial awareness
·Confident presentation skills
·The ability to negotiate and work under pressure
·A desire to work within a role offering autonomy
