Senior Planning Officer
North-West
£40+p/h
3-month initial contract
 
I am recruiting for my LPA client in the North-West as they search for an experienced Senior Planning Officer to join their busy development management team on an initial 3-month contract.
 
It is essential to possess an in-depth knowledge and understanding of the development control process, planning legislation and national and regional planning guidance.
 
You must also have experience in dealing with a range of minor and major planning applications - experience on complex and potentially contentious planning applications is desirable but not absolutely essential.
 
The area is undergoing serious regeneration and development so this is an excellent opportunity to join an authority with exciting projects going on.
 
The council are happy with the post-holder working remotely, although site visits will be required on occasion. Most likely every 2-3 weeks.
 
A pay rate of £40 per hour (Inside IR35) is on offer for the candidate who fits the experience required. Possible increase to the pay rate can be made if the candidate possesses more advanced experience.
