Geo-environmental Consultant
 
Our client is looking for a Geo-environmental Consultant to join their team in Stoke.
 
Our client is a multi-disciplinary consultancy with 12 offices throughout the UK employing approximately 500 staff. Working together with clients, they deliver solutions to challenging problems in Property & Development, Infrastructure & Utilities and Mining & Minerals.
The Ground Engineering team undertake a diverse range of contaminated land and geotechnical projects within the residential, development, infrastructure, and industrial sectors.
 
Requirements of the role:
 
·Hold a BEng BSc or higher technical qualification in a relevant subject (geology, civil engineering, environmental science etc)
·Relevant experience geo-environmental experience.
·A good working knowledge of appropriate British Standards, Eurocodes, industry guidance and NHBC Standards for both contaminated land and geotechnical site appraisals.
·Experience of AutoCAD and modelling is also desirable.
 
 
Responsibilities of the role:
·As a Geo-environmental Consultant, you will be part of a team delivering a range of geotechnical and/or geo-environmental assignments including (but not limited to): desk studies, ground investigations (factual and interpretative), geotechnical assessments, contaminated land risk assessments and preparation of remediation method statements.
·The successful candidate will play a key role in the day to day project management and delivery of projects working closely with and being supported by our existing team of Project Managers and Project Directors. Assist with negotiations with relevant regulatory authorities (NHBC, EA, LA etc.) as necessary
