Are you an Environmental Advisor with a proven background of working within the environment and construction industry?
 
Do you have experience supporting the delivery of the construction and handover phase of the HS2 Main Works Civils Contract, specifically the utilities and prep work packages?
 
My client is a market leading Civils Contractor with a fantastic reputation within the railway industry. Due to continued growth and success with multiple tenders, they are looking for a driven Environmental Advisor to work with them on the HS2 project in Euston.
 
Location: Euston
 
Salary:
- £32,000 - £55,000 (Depending on experience)

Responsibilities:
·Understand the Client and Joint Venture Partners' Environment and Sustainability Policies, Processes and statutory requirements as they affect the contract's operations and ensure that the requirements are implemented on the project.
·Provide Environmental compliance advice to various teams, including construction, procurement and subcontractors and suppliers on the practical implementation of contract policies, processes and requirements.
· Assessing and ensuring the compliance with the HS2 Environmental Minimum Requirements (EMR) as published in the High Speed Rail (London -West Midlands) Act.
·Ensure works are in line with the Environmental Management System, certified to ISO 14001:2015, ensuring it remains appropriate to all contract risks. Monitor and collect data to aid reporting against performance against targets.
·Provide advice and guidance, and where necessary assist with the obtaining legal consents, licenses and exemptions. Maintain good working relationships with external stakeholders such as local authorities, Natural England, EA, Thames Water and others as required and directed.
·Identify and provide training and upskilling required to fulfill environmental responsibilities of various delivery team roles.
 
Requirements:
·Environmental advisory experience (minimum 3 years) in the environment and construction industry, ideally in the utilities or infrastructure sector.  
·Degree or equivalent in Environmental Sciences or suitably applicable fields. Associate or Practitioner Member of the Institute of Environmental Management and Assessment (IEMA) or equivalent and internal auditing experience.
· Experience working closely with subcontractors to improve environment & sustainability performance would be an advantage
·Demonstrates a passion for the Environment and Sustainability, driving innovation and a desire to positively influence and develop those around them
