Role: Sub Agent / Agent
Location: Chorley
Pay: £340-£380 per day inside IR35 for up to 6 months or the option of staff, salary and package to be discussed at interview.
Duration: On going contract or perm role
 
My client, a leading contractor in the water and Enviromental sector are looking for an experienced Senior Enginer or Sub agent to join them for their large enviromatnal agency projects in Littleborough working mainly on Flood alleviation and prevtion schemes. Cadndiates with experience in heavy civils, working on flood protection / alleviation projects or on behalf of the Enviroment Agency would be advantageous. 


Main purpose of role
 
As a senior engineer / sub agent you will be responsible for the management of the construction site in order to achieve required project delivery to the customers' objectives, while maintaining standards of health and safety, quality, environmental impact and cost control.
 
Main responsibilities of the role will include but are not limited to:  
·Ensuring accurate implementation of all engineering controls and compliance with the contract drawings and specification
·Producing risk assessments and method statements for safe execution of the works
·Ensuring work is executed in a safe manner meeting legal guidelines set out in health safety and requirements and environmental compliance
·Manage site activities to ensure work is completed on time and within budget
·Manage resources to ensure work is completed to site goals and systems requirements
 
Skills and experience required
 
·Relevant industry qualification (HND/HNC/BEng or equivalent)
·Relevant CSCS card
·SMSTS card
·Hands on approach to the commercial and planning aspects of the project
·Civil engineering and construction experience
·Able to challenge designs and resolve problems to conclusion
·Good project management, communication and financial management skills
·Sound knowledge of construction methods, health and safety, and legal regulations
·Excellent communication and people and team management skills
·Excellent organisational, planning and time management skills; able to manage projects simultaneously without compromising on standards and quality
 
Ideal candidates will haver their water tickets, SMSTS or SSSTS, Temporary works, AP for cranes / lifting.
