Join an esteemed consultancy in Luton as a Senior Ecologist. This is a unique opportunity to take on a pivotal role in a collaborative and engaging environment, where you will manage the technical aspects of projects, ensure safety, quality, and environmental responsibility, and progress your career within a diverse and dynamic team.
·Degree in Ecology, Environmental Management, or a related discipline.
·Membership (or eligibility to join) of the Chartered Institute of Ecology and Environmental Management (CIEEM).
·Minimum of 5 years' experience working in a UK consultancy for private and public-sector developers and operators, on a range of development/infrastructure projects.
·Experience across a range of UK habitats and protected species, particularly in delivering combined survey results, with a focus on bat survey projects.
·Experience in delivering ecological aspects of large-scale infrastructure projects.
·Proven record of supporting clients, developing pragmatic and cost-effective mitigation, and supervising on-site implementation.
·Full UK driver's license.
·Bat sound and video analysis, including the use of Analook and various video software.
·Statistical analysis experience, including 'R' for large ecological projects.
·A current CSCS card or equivalent.
·Protected species licenses, with a focus on bats, GCN, and hazel dormouse
