Role - Radiation Protection Advisor
 
Location - From Home (occasional travel to sites once a Month but can be based anywhere)
 
Contract Length - 6 Months
 
Pay Rate - £262.50 a day LTD
 
This role has come around as the client is requiring essential support at all sites central radiological safety function. If you have any background in radiation protection, I am keen to have a chat with you - please see responsibilities below:
Main responsibilities:
·Oversee the training of radiological protection staff and ensure they are all Suitably Qualified and Experienced Persons (SQEP)
·Supporting the development of policy, standards and processes within the radiological protection area, influencing key internal and external stakeholders.
·Ensuring the effective ad compliant environment. Health & safety, security and Quality (EHSS&Q) standards ad procedures are embedded in the ompany and providing high level advice on their implementation.
·Identifying good practice in the performance at sites and externally and promoting and deploying across the functions/sites.
·Provision of expert-level advice, support and guidance on EHSS&Q issues throughout the company and to stakeholders.
Qualifications:
·NQF or NVQ level 6 in a radiological safety related subject
·Certified RPA or chartered (CradP) OR significant experience in that field of radiological protection at nuclear sites
·Experience in senior radiological protection roles
