Looking for a Quantity Surveyor role with a Tier 1 contractor?
 
My client are a large framework contractor working on the delivery of several water projects across Wales. They have been working in several partnerships in the area to deliver capital delivery frameworks and manage water optimisation across London and surrounding areas. They have several years of large and medium sized projects to complete on behalf of the local water company.
 
Based out of North Wales, they are looking for an experienced QS to join the team and look after a large number of Repair, maintenance, capital works, developer services and metering projects. This is working as part of the local water alliance.
 
As a senior Quantity Surveyor you will be responsible for
·Administer the NEC form of contracts
·Raise early warning notices to the client and subcontractors
·Identifying, notifying and pricing of compensation events
·Production or supporting the production of CVRs and P&L reports
·Manage subcontractors from tender enquiries to final accounts
·Reviewing subcontract quotations and placing subcontract orders
·Assessing and paying subcontract applications
·Preparing applications for payment for assigned work packages
·Checking time-sheets and staff allocations for individual work packages
·Agreeing final accounts with clients and subcontractors
 
You will be working on an ongoing contract.
 
They require you have the following skills and knowledge:
 
·BSc Quantity Surveying or similar qualification
·A minimum of 5 years' PQ experience in a similar role
·Working knowledge of the NEC3 & NEC4 suite of contracts
·Experience using Aconex or CEMAR would be advantageous
·Previous experience with a civil engineering or utilities contractor
·Experience with administering multiple packages of work
