Senior planner looking for contract work? Interested in having a significant impact on multi-million pound contracts?
 
My client are a large infrastructure consultancy, working across several industries across the globe. They work in partnership with some of the worlds largest infrastructure companies and have an excellent reputation in the industry.
 
They are currently looking for a Senior Project Planner to working in the defence industry. This is an excellent opportunity for a planner who has experience in this field or a similar field of work. You will need to have a strong technical planning background and experience of working on NEC contracts. Ideally you will have experience in time risk management, cost/resource loading, change control and baseline management. This is a great opportunity to have a personal impact on the successful delivery of several multi-million pound contracts.
 
 
Responsibilities:
·Commercial and financial aspects of Project Management
·For the schedule to ensure project completion to time and cost
·Client contact
·Ensuring work instructions and internal planning processes are followed across all projects you are working on
·Provision of project performance data, project schedules in a concise and timely manner
·Successful in identifying any project slippage reports, opportunities, project deviations, mitigations and communication
·Ensuring all issues in the programme are highlighted and understood by the team and the Project & Planning managers - giving advice where needed
 
Requirements:
·Primavera P6 software specialist / expert user
·Experience of Design principles from concept to detail
·Infrastructure projects understanding and knowledge of design, construction and commission
·Detailed understanding of Project Controls Techniques
·Delivery of programme updates and information on changes and delays that could impact the projects
·Ability to work as part of a team and under your own initiative
·Ability to manage and influence interfaces with engineers disciplines with minimal supervision
 
 
This role falls inside IR35 and will be a pay rate of around £42 per hour.
