Sub-Agent

Role: Sub-Agent - Utilities
Location: London and Thames Valley
Salary: £50k plus £5k car allowance
Type: Permanent / Full-time
Hours: 45 hours per week
Additional: Company van, 25 days holiday plus bank holidays

Are you an experienced Senior Project Engineer or Sub-Agent with experience in the utilities or civils sectors looking for fresh challenge and opportunity to develop your career?

If so we may have the perfect role for you. We are currently working on exciting new opportunity with our client, a forward-thinking Utilities contractor delivering a wide range of services across London and the South East of England. They are looking for a Senior Engineer or Sub-Agent to manage civil engineering projects on water and wastewater sites.

The Sub-Agent will provide engineering support to the site team and liaise between the principal designer and site team. Additionally you will be required to assist with developing scope of works, writing RAMS and other relevant site documents.

Required abilities:

  • Demonstrate experience as a civils engineer for a contracting organisation.
  • Experience in utilities in wastewater or clean water or deep drainage.
  • Experience in temporary works supervision or coordination - TWS/TWC
  • Ability to produce, manage and implement safe schemes of work for construction procedures i.e. RAMS
  • Ability and confidence to communicate with the workforce, client and management
  • An understanding of commercial issues in undertaking small works
  • Good knowledge of current civil engineering standards in with wastewater (specifically Sewers for Adoption) and Water Industry Specifications (WIS)
  • Good understanding of Health, Safety and Environmental Legislation
  • Ability to review works to allow accurate tender submissions in terms of time, cost, and quality.

Qualifications:

  • CSCS
  • SMSTS
  • Min 5 years experience in the Water/ Wastewater Industry
  • TWS or TWC
  • Confined space medium risk
  • Engineering or construction management degree
  • IOSH/NEBOSH
  • Project Management
