Job description
Process Improvement Lead - Green Spaces
We are seeking an experienced Process Improvement Lead to support our Green Spaces service on a contract basis. This is a key role focused on reviewing and improving operations, processes, procedures, and management practices to ensure services are delivered safely, efficiently, and effectively.
The Green Spaces service covers:
·Parks, playgrounds, sports pitches, and community facilities
·Countryside estates, including commons and open spaces
·Cemetery services
The role will be primarily based in Esher, with travel required across the borough to visit sites. There will also be opportunities for remote working.
Key Responsibilities
·Review, map, and streamline processes and procedures to ensure compliance with corporate standards, legislation, and industry best practice.
·Develop and implement improvements, working with teams and ICT to make better use of digital tools and introduce effective data oversight to measure progress.
·Support the embedding of new practices across teams, ensuring consistency and efficiency in service delivery.
·Identify and coordinate training requirements to support new and existing processes.
·Carry out other duties related to Green Spaces processes as required by the Head of Culture, Leisure and Environment.
Person Specification
Essential
·Degree or equivalent demonstrable experience
·Management qualification or equivalent demonstrable experience
·Proven track record in change management and process improvement in a public-facing service or similar environment
·Strong analytical, problem-solving, and evaluation skills
·Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels
·Strong IT skills with the ability to manage and present data efficiently
·Flexible, adaptable, diplomatic, and assertive approach
·Full driving licence and willingness to travel within the borough
Desirable
·Project management qualification or equivalent demonstrable experience
·Experience working within local government or the public sector
·Creative, innovative, and strategic thinker
