Job description

My client is a firm of transport planners and traffic engineers that provide development planning services to a wide variety of private and public sector clients. They are a small company with aspirations to remain so in order to ensure quality of service.
They are based in central Bristol and operate throughout the UK.  They offer remote working and are a supporter of the Good Employment Charter. Being members of the Charter they strive to improve employment standards within the workplace; being inclusive, operating fair people practices, providing a commitment to health and wellbeing, and opportunities for all.
They offer a wide range of highway and transportation services from initial feasibility studies to supporting development sites through the planning process. They provide trusted advice and are experienced in successfully working with other disciplines to identify integrated and cost effective solutions. They have a positive and personal approach to help ensure the delivery of projects whether large or small and have extensive experience in residential, commercial, retail, sports, leisure, education and tourist related development.
The company are seeking a Principal / Associate level Transport Planner to join their small team, who is very experienced, motivated and innovative with the ability to mentor and manage staff, understand the importance of client relationships, and project manage as well as dive in and write technical reports, with the aim of becoming involved in the day-to-day management of the company.

As a Principal / Associate Transport Planner (striving for an Associated Director roll), you would have an extensive background in transport planning, including capacity modelling, expert witness/ appeal process, and potentially the beginnings of your own client-base.

You would be based in the Bristol office, with the option to work from home part of the week.
