Role & Responsibilities

The role of Principal Structural Engineer would ideally be suited to a Chartered Structural Engineer at Senior to Principal level who would like an opportunity that would allow them to progress quickly within the company.

You will be assisting in leading an existing team of Engineers and Technicians, taking a lead on projects and be involved with commercial, financial and business development responsibilities.

The scope of work is extremely varied, so past exposure to a variety of different building sectors is important. This includes, but is not limited to:

·Commercial
·Education
·Industrial
·Residential
·Retail
·Sport & Leisure
·Heritage
·Energy


Requirements:

·BEng/MSc (or equivalent) Civil/Structural Engineering
·CEng status with IStructE or ICE
·Min 6 years' experience
·Experience of managing a design team
·Ability to train and mentor more junior members of the team
·Experience of whole project process from fee proposals and concept design to project completion
Strong technical ability with in-depth experience of designing in all main materials

·Passion for business development
·Excellent commercial awareness and business acumen
