A world renowned growing nuclear and defence business is looking to bring on a principal safety engineer that is looking for a long term 2 year contract to support some of the most exciting projects in the sector.

• Job Title - Principal Safety Engineer
• Location - Reading (3 days a week)
• Contract Length - 24 months
• Pay Rate - Inside IR35 up to £100 an hour

This is a very good role in a great company for a principal safety engineer to start working on the most prestigious projects in nuclear and defence.

Key Skills/Experiences

• A background in the leadership of safety technical activities
• Working knowledge of top down safety cases and safety reporting  
• Ability to engage Tas on technical issues and knowledge of nuclear fire, external hazards, DSEAR and mechanical systems  
• A thorough knowledge and understanding of CAE based safety cases and critical safety functions  

Essential Technical skills:

• HAZID and HAZAN
• PSA
• ALARP
