A fantastic opportunity for a Principal Safety Assessment Specialist has come up working on the UK's leading defence and nuclear projects to work on their prestigious work scope.

• Job Role - Principal Safety Assessment Specialist
• Location - Reading (3 days a week)
• Contract Length - 18 months
• Pay Rates - £98 hour

Key Criteria:

• HAZARD Identification and use of formal techniques to develop hazard and fault schedules
• Experience of undertaking nuclear hazard analysis (HAZAN)
• A knowledge in design basis assessments
• Unmitigated dose assessments to derive safety function classification
• Ability to classify the required safety systems
• An understanding of types of protection methods and the substantiation of those required
• ALARP understanding

Key skills:

• Degree level or sufficient background with experience to make it up
• Active security clearances
• A background in nuclear and defence
• HAZARD Identification
• Management of live safety cases
