An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Principal Highway Maintenance Engineer to come and join a busy client in West Yorkshire.
 
The ideal candidate will have experience undertaking projects which involve remediation to underlying failed embankment, highway drainage, culverts and reconstruction of the road and supporting infrastructure.
 
As the Principal Highway Maintenance Engineer your responsibilities will be:
 
·Be responsible for the highway maintenance designs so a previous background in design and ability to use AutoCAD would be essential to the post.
·A lot of the work will be related to carriageway resurfacing so experience in this area would also be beneficial. The position will involve occasional visits to the sites as well as liaising with councils existing Term Maintenance contractor who will be delivering the schemes.
·Maintaining strong communication with other departments within the council from concept through design before handing over the package to external contractors.
