My client in East Anglia is requiring an experienced Planning Officer to assist them until at least the end of May 2022.
 
This role is to work as the Principal in an area planning team where you will assist the team manager in managing the team and also carry a caseload of your own applications to process.
 
My client is looking for someone to start as soon as possible and would ideally like candidate who would be able to visit the sites from time to time if/when required.
 
Desired Experience:
·Experience of working in a busy development management context to deadlines.
·Experience of managing a team of planners
·Experience of dealing with customers including planning agents, residents, parish councils, external consultees.
·Experience of dealing with and briefing Councillors and senior managers /chief officers
 
To be successful in this position you MUST BE:
·A Qualified Town Planner with significant experience within a Local Authority Planning Department
