Carrington West are assisting their local authority client based in Sussex in their search for a Planning Conservation Specialist to join their Town Planning Department. This will be offered on an initial 3-month contract, then rolling.
 
In the role you will:
-Act as case officer for a wide variety of listed building applications of varying complexity and as and when required attend Planning Committee to provide specialist advice

You will be required to demonstrate:
·A good understanding of current legislation / case law concerning listed building matters
·A good knowledge of architectural history, construction and methods of repair
·Ability to work to agreed time frames and on your own initiative
·Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
 
Our client is willing to offer a flexible working situation with once a month
A drivelling licence would be beneficial but not essential.
 
Carrington West Pay Rate - £35 to £42p/h
