Job description

Principal Bridge Engineer required for a long-term contract opportunity in Edinburgh. The role would be full time (circa 40 hours per week) and the successful candidate would be required to spend spend part of their working week in Edinburgh. Local candidates to Edinburgh would be preferred.
 
This role is considered Inside IR35.
 
Key experience and skills required
 
·Chartered Engineer (CEng or MIStructE)
·Structural reviews and assessments of council bridges
·Design and project management of new bridge construction, maintenance and demolition works
·Inspections including PIs; GIs; safety inspections; inspections for assessment; specialist inspections for PT, half-joints, underwater, scour and others
·Site supervision
·Other asset management tasks.
