We are currently seeking an experienced Works Manager to support multiple civil engineering projects across Scotland. This is a key site-based role, overseeing the delivery of major infrastructure works from start to completion, working directly for a main contractor.

Projects are a mix of schemes currently coming to completion and new projects starting, offering strong continuity of work for the right individual.

Key Responsibilities

·Managing day-to-day site operations across civil engineering projects
·Overseeing full road construction works, including earthworks, drainage and surfacing
·Coordinating and managing drainage and bridge construction activities
·Ensuring works are delivered safely, on programme and to specification
·Managing site teams, subcontractors and plant
·Liaising with engineers, project managers and clients
·Maintaining high standards of health & safety and quality control

Essential Experience

·Proven experience as a Works Manager or Senior Foreman on civil engineering projects
·Strong background in road works and full road construction
·Experience delivering drainage and bridge construction works
·Previous main contractor experience (highly beneficial)
·Ability to manage multiple work fronts and site teams
·Willingness to work on projects across Scotland

Qualifications

·SMSTS or SSSTS (essential)
·Valid UK driving licence
