We are currently representing a prominent client in the search for a dynamic and experienced Pre-Construction Manager to join their team. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to a Major highways in the Northwest
What you will do:
As a Pre-Construction Manager, you will play a crucial role in the successful delivery of a significant highways framework project. Working closely with our client, you will be responsible for overseeing all pre-construction activities, ensuring the efficient planning and coordination of tasks leading up to the construction phase.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage pre-construction teams, including estimators, planners, and design coordinators.
- Develop and implement effective pre-construction strategies to optimise project outcomes.
- Collaborate with stakeholders, including clients, designers, and subcontractors, to establish project goals and requirements.
- Conduct thorough risk assessments and provide innovative solutions to mitigate potential challenges.
- Prepare and review project budgets, ensuring accuracy and adherence to financial constraints.
- Oversee the tendering process, evaluating bids, and negotiating contracts with subcontractors.
- Coordinate with the design team to ensure compliance with project specifications and regulations.
- Monitor and report on project progress, identifying and addressing any issues that may arise.
What you will need:
- Proven experience in a similar role within the construction or infrastructure sector.
- Extensive knowledge of highways construction and associated pre-construction activities.
- Strong project management skills with a track record of successful project delivery.
- Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
- Familiarity with relevant regulations, standards, and industry best practices.
- Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
