Job Description: We are currently seeking a talented and experienced Pre-Construction/Bid Manager to join our client's team. As a Pre-Construction Manager, you will play a critical role in leading the planning and preparation phase of construction projects for South West Water. You will be responsible for overseeing the pre-construction process, including cost estimation, budgeting, scheduling, value engineering, and client communication.
You'll have a team of estimators, Design Staff and Project Planners to work alongside when preparing bid's for Clean and Wastewater projects across the framework.
Key Responsibilities:
·Prepare accurate cost estimates for materials, labour, equipment, and other resources required for construction projects.
·Develop and manage project budgets, ensuring alignment with client requirements and constraints.
·Create detailed project schedules, coordinating with subcontractors, suppliers, and other stakeholders to ensure timely completion.
·Conduct value engineering analysis to optimize costs without sacrificing quality or functionality.
·Identify potential risks and develop strategies to mitigate them, including developing contingency plans.
·Serve as the primary point of contact for the client during the pre-construction phase, providing regular updates and addressing any concerns or issues.
Essential:
Previous Water sector experience - both Wastewater and clean Water is essential.
Comprehensive pre-construction experience - bid writing, Submissions, Engineering, Construction Management background.
The client can consider most background providing you have extensive knowledge of bid Writing and planning management, as well as a strong understanding if the sector.
