Planning Policy Team Leader
6 month initial contract (Part-time considered)

I am working closely with my LPA client based in Gloucestershire and assisting in their recruitment for a temporary Planning Policy Team Leader.
 
Requirements:
 
·An enthusiastic and ambitious Planning Policy Team leader who can hit the ground running by taking a lead on all aspects associated with policy formulation whilst assisting existing planning policy officers.
·Experience in delivering Local Plans for Local Planning Authorities and experience of delivering Strategic Plans specifically is desirable.
·Full understanding and evidenced application of the plan making process and the NPPF with experience of housing land supply issues.
·An ability to work closely with officers and members and lead on member and stakeholder engagement through monthly liaison meetings.
 
The role will primarily be remote working, however, there will be occasions where an office presence is required for in person meetings. This could be upto 4 times a month. Part-time candidates will be considered.
 
At this stage, the council are keen to get the right level of candidate with the best experience - negotiations on pay rate will be in line with market standards and level of candidate's experience.
