Planning Enforcement Officer
 
Carrington West's dedicated Town and Country Planning Recruitment Team operate UK wide and we are delighted to be assisting our client with their search for a Planning Enforcement Officer in the Midlands area on an initial 3 month contract that is likely to extend.
 
The Role
 
The successful candidate will manage their own case load of planning enforcement cases with minimal supervision and have an ability to manage own time and prioritise work load.  
 
Duties to be undertaken would include but are not limited to the below:
·Review of old enforcement cases
·Update Uniform
·Compile delegated expediency reports to be signed by the Planning Development Manager
·Clear backlog of existing enforcement cases
·Undertake associated work for new enforcement cases
·Site visits
·Issue Enforcement Notices of all types including requests for information
·Meeting with complainants and occupants on site
·Correspond with members of the public
 
 
Expertise
 
The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years experience working within a LPA, will be RTPI. Will have a good knowledge of planning legislation relating to enforcement, a clear written and verbal communication skill set, experience with negotiating enforcement breaches, experience of site surveys and local hearings.
