Parking Operations Manager

Are you an experienced operations professional with a background in parking enforcement and people management? Join the council's dedicated team and lead the transformation of its Parking and Moving Traffic Enforcement operation.

The Role

We're looking for a dedicated Parking Operations Manager to oversee and improve the enforcement operations across the borough. Based primarily in the office, you'll play a key role in shaping policy, leading performance, and ensuring the council's services run smoothly and effectively.

Key Responsibilities

·Manage all aspects of parking and moving traffic enforcement operations
·Oversee staffing rotas, shift arrangements, and deployment plans for maximum efficiency
·Monitor and review staff performance and training needs
·Ensure compliance with traffic regulations and enforcement standards
·Develop and implement enforcement policies and service improvement plans
·Supervise a team of team leaders and supervisors (4 direct reports)
·Support school crossing patrol management in line with Health & Safety requirements

What We're Looking For

·Proven experience in operational management within parking enforcement
·Strong leadership and people-management skills, including handling performance and conduct issues
·Sound knowledge of parking legislation and best practices
·Experience in managing budgets, procurement, and enforcement equipment
·Excellent communication skills with the ability to handle challenging situations professionally
·City & Guilds (or equivalent) in Team Leadership/Supervision - or willingness to gain this within 6 months
·A clean driving licence and the flexibility to work outside standard hours when required
 
Previous experience in Parking is essential for this role.
