Job description

We are actively seeking an experienced NEC4 Project Manager in the Gloucester area to support with the delivery of a wide variety of multi-disciplinary highways projects. You'll be part of a team project managing a variety of civil and structural designs for new build, renewal, and maintenance works.

The role if full time (45 hour per week) and is deemed inside IR35. Our client is looking for quality candidates that are available to start as soon as possible.
 
The Role
 
·NEC4 ECC Project Manager duties for administration of multidisciplinary highway projects including 
oReview and assess programmes
oAssessing & Implementing Compensation Events
·Management of Health & Safety and risks associated with project implementation
·Understanding and meeting the business and client's objectives to deliver high quality engineering projects on time and to budget
·Working with technical leads, with value management in mind, to derive engineering solutions to identified issues
·Working as part of a collaborative team with the Contractor / Client / Public, developing strong and lasting relationships which promote aligned, efficient and smarter ways of working
·Presenting to clients and key stakeholders in a professional, responsive and client focused manner
·Management and development of allocated teams

 
Requirements

Essential
 
·BEng/MEng or MSc degree in civil engineering or equivalent
·Experience of working with Local Authorities and major Contractors
·Extensive experience in NEC ECC Project Manager Role
·Awareness and specialist knowledge to ensure safety in highway environments and experience of CDM Regulations
·Well-developed leadership, communication, negotiating, influencing and inter-personal skills, with the drive and commitment to achieve program wide objectives. Able to ensure tasks are carried out within agreed timescales and budgets
·Developed leadership and communication skills
·A valid UK driving license

Desirable
 
·NEC4 ECC Project Manager Accreditation
·ICE Certificate in Law and Contract Management
·ICE Accredited Contract Manager and/or NEC Professional
·Chartered Qualified with ICE, APM, RICS, etc
·Site Management Safety Training Scheme (SMSTS) Qualification
·Association for Project Management (APM) - Project Manager Qualification (PMQ) or equivalent
·Client engagement experience
·Experience of supervising remote teams to deliver common goals
