Job description

My client a leading Telecoms Network Provider building their own network in the West. They are providing full fibre networks to communities in the West of England and into Wales to improve the UK's infrastructure and broadband speeds. Working hard to bring rural communities, some of the fastest fibre across the UK. They are currently looking for qualified MEWP drivers to work closely with the engineering teams, delivering plant and equipment to site and assisting with lifting operations on site. You will support teams of engineers in installing fibre to telecoms poles in rural areas.
 
The role is based on 40 hours a week, paid weekly based on a 40 hour a week contract being paid £14.42 per hour + holiday. The right person will need to have a full UK Driving licence.
 
 
The role:
·Coordinate and monitor the receipt, system logging, correct allocation and dispatch of equipment, ensuring receipts are received for all orders.
·Ensure that vehicle checks are carried out daily and the vehicle is fit for the purpose and roadworthy.
·Accurately pick, load and deliver orders on time in full.
·Carry out deliveries to replenish stock as required in the field.
·Report any delays that could affect the build process.
·Have a clear understanding of the company's policies and vision and how the warehouse contributes to these.
·Assist in keeping stock control systems up to date and make sure inventories are accurate.
·Maintain standards of health and safety, hygiene and security in the work environment, for example, ensuring that chemicals are stored safely.
·Assist in the planned maintenance of vehicles, machinery and equipment.
·When No deliveries are required, assist as a Warehouse Operative within the warehouse or yard.
·Reporting any potential stock shortages to the Warehouse/Yard Manager before it reaches zero stock.
·Any other duties as deemed fit and appropriate to carry out the role.
 
Requirements:
·Full UK Driving License (Ideally Clean)
·IPAF for MEWP
·Ability to tow (Ideal)
·Good Maths knowledge
·Ability to follow instruction
·A good work attitude
