Role: M&E Contracts Manager - Water Industry
Water sector background
Location: Maidstone - Kent region
Duration: 6 months +
Rate: Negotiable
Start Date: ASAP
 
Our client are a leading contractor working on a major water framework in the South.  They have a long term role for a M&E Contracts Manager with a strong Mechanical and Electrical background within the water industry for their projects on the Southern Water framework
 
You will have come from a water sector background and have a strong knowledge of the UK water sector.
 
Responsibilities include:
·Responsible for overseeing a number of large and small projects at any one time.
·Working closely with the SHEQ team to ensure the safe delivery of works, updating on environmental issues and ensuring quality.
·Managing and helping the Project Managers and Site Managers on your projects.
·Working closely with the commercial team, designers, planners and site teams.
·Subcontract management.
·Attending regular meetings with the client and updating on design and project completion timelines.
·Monthly report meetings with the Framework Manager.
·Working with the Estimators to produce tenders.
 
Skills and Experience:
·HNC/HND/BSc in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or equivalent or by experience
·A background of delivering projects to budget and program
·Water experience essential (clean water or wastewater)
·Excellent communication skills with people of all levels
·Organised and structured in your approach
·IT literate
