Carrington West are assisting their local authority client based in London in the search for a Local Land Charges Manager to join their Town Planning department on a rolling 3 month contract.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
To be responsible for the management and provision of an effective, efficient and customer focused service in respect of the following sections/functions:
·Local Land Charges Section
·Address Management Section
·To be responsible for the direction, motivation, training and development of staff within these sections
·Assist in all matters relating to the application processing software, Geographical information and Mapping systems.
·Responsible for maintenance and storage of archived electronics images, i.e historic mapping records, drum/byelaw cards and planning decision notices.
·Review, research and implement changes in new law and approved guidelines to maintain the accuracy of the Local Land Charges Register, records and replies.
·Oversee the maintenance of safekeeping of the Local Land Charges Register.
·Ensure all enquiries are explained and the relevant details are extracted and disclosed accurately, clearly and concisely.
·To represent the Section as appropriate in workshops, meetings, etc.
·Monitor the LLPG for quality assurance, in particular the measures and administration systems to validate its correctness, currency, coverage and completeness.
·Management of all staff- including recruitment, job reviews, staff development.
 
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE MUST HAVE:
·Extensive knowledge of Local land l service
·Budgetary experience
·Experience of completing full searches
·Previous management experience
·Experience of working closely with key partners and stakeholders
