Job description

Carrington West are pleased to offer an outstanding role with a fantastic company in Nottingham. The role is for a Landscape Architect to provide a wide range of Landscape Design, and Landscape Planning services to internal and external clients.
 
What you will be doing:
·Design and manage the delivery of landscape design, urban design and environmental improvement projects which may be complex and significant, to achieve quality, programme and financial targets meeting customer and stakeholder requirements.
·Provide specialist landscape design and technical input to internal and external clients to support delivery of complex and large-scale projects across the organisation or externally.
·Provide specialist expertise in delivery and evaluation of Landscape & Visual Impact and Landscape Character Assessments as part of planning process, to achieve compliance with legislation and national/local policies.
·Prepare and manage the production of a range of environmental assessments such as Environmental Impact Assessments, which may include the coordination of external and internal delivery teams to support the development and delivery of large scale and complex projects for internal and external clients.
·Collaborate with Via's Construction and Commercial Division to maintain workflow there by supporting achievement of company business plan objectives for productivity and profit across design and build functions.
·Ensure adherence to Health and Safety management systems, processes and requirements ensuring full compliance to health, safety and environmental legislation, policy and best practice to protect people and the environment.
·Manage consultation, communication and liaison with clients and a wide range of internal and external stakeholders including members of the public and elected Members to facilitate project delivery and maintain a positive company reputation.
·Act as an ambassador for individual schemes and the Company across professional, business and community events and networks at local and regional level
 
What you will need to know:
·Relevant degree and working towards Chartership of the Landscape Institute with post qualification experience / knowledge gained through practical experience in a design consultancy
·Strong ICT skills including competence in specialist computer applications used to support landscape, planning, design and management activities including working knowledge of current CAD and GIS software packages
·Working knowledge of design standards and sustainability principles appropriate to landscape design, environmental improvement schemes and land management plans
·Working knowledge of procurement practices used in design and construction, including forms of tender, conditions of contract and forms of partnership.
·Working knowledge of health and safety, technical, planning and other legislation and good practice appropriate to hard/soft landscape projects and landscape planning
·Experience of providing information, communicating and working collaboratively with internal and external customers, stakeholders and colleagues to achieve delivery objectives
·Experience of financial monitoring and control across a range of projects.
·Experience of all stages of project implementation from feasibility to construction on site and post construction activities including establishment maintenance and long-term management
·A high level of personal drive and commitment to excellent customer care and the ability to set an example to other staff.
