I am currently working with a Local Authority in a London Borough who are seeking a Senior Planner to join their HS2 Team.
 
The team is looking for an experienced Development Management Planner who has operated as Planning/Senior Planning Officer previously. The role would suit a planning officer who is also looking to step up to a senior planning officer.
 
The council can offer Hybrid working.
 
This is a full time role for 35 hours per week, however, management may consider part time working which can be discussed on a case by case basis.
You will work as an integral part of the HS2 team to provide a high quality and efficient planning service to the team. You will deal with the most complex requests for pre-application advice and applications, and accordingly you will need to have very strong analytical, advisory and influencing/negotiation skills in order to be able to advise on, and secure fundamental changes to pre application schemes in order to secure good design and the best mitigation for the Council.
 
You will be working on schedule 17 and larger scale applications.
 
Carrington West are willing to offer £35 per hour for this position.
 
To be successful in this position you MUST BE:
·A Qualified Town Planner with significant experience within a Local Authority Planning Department
