Job Title: Highways Structures Supervisor
Location: Surrey
Role Overview: As a Highways Structures Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing the maintenance and improvement of highway structures within Surrey. This includes managing and coordinating a variety of civil engineering and structural projects, ensuring that all works are completed safely, on time, and within budget. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in structures and civil engineering, with the ability to lead a team effectively and work collaboratively with both internal and external stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
·Supervise and manage the delivery of highways structures maintenance and improvement projects.
·Ensure all works are carried out in compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
·Coordinate with contractors, suppliers, and the end client to ensure projects meet specified standards and deadlines.
·Inspect and assess the condition of highway structures, recommending necessary maintenance or repairs.
·Monitor project progress and report on performance, addressing any issues that arise promptly.
·Provide technical guidance and support to the team, ensuring high standards of workmanship.
·Manage budgets, resources, and materials efficiently to optimize project outcomes.
·Maintain accurate records of works completed and prepare detailed reports for the client and senior management.
Candidate Requirements:
·Proven experience in a similar role within highways structures or civil engineering.
·Strong knowledge of structural maintenance and construction practices.
·Excellent understanding of health, safety, and environmental regulations in a highways context.
·Ability to lead and motivate a team, with strong communication and interpersonal skills.
·Experience in managing budgets, schedules, and resources for multiple projects.
·Relevant qualifications in civil engineering or a related field are highly desirable.
·Full UK driving license is essential.
