Job description

Are you an experienced and detail-oriented professional in the field of highways development? Do you possess a keen eye for adherence to plans and regulations?

We are currently seeking a highly skilled Highways Development Supervisor to join our team and supervise the work being carried out by housing and commercial developers on behalf of the local authority. This is an exciting opportunity to ensure that projects align with necessary plans and regulations while contributing to the growth and development of our community.

Position: Highways Development Supervisor
Location: Hampshire
Duration: 6-month contract with potential for extensions
Salary: £35-£40 per hour Outside IR35

Responsibilities:
·Supervise and inspect the work conducted by housing and commercial developers on behalf of the local authority.
·Ensure that all projects adhere to necessary plans, regulations, and industry standards.
·Monitor and assess project progress, identifying any potential issues or deviations from agreed specifications.
·Collaborate with developers to address and resolve any non-compliance or quality-related concerns.
·Provide technical expertise and guidance to developers, contractors, and other relevant stakeholders.
·Conduct regular site visits to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and proper execution of construction activities.
·Maintain accurate records of inspections, findings, and project progress.
·Liaise with local authorities, government agencies, and other stakeholders to ensure effective communication and coordination.

Requirements:
·Previous experience in section 278 and section 38 work is essential.
·Familiarity with NEC3 and NEC4 contracts is highly beneficial.
·Strong knowledge of highways development processes, plans, and regulations.
·Excellent attention to detail and ability to identify non-compliance issues.
·Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with diverse stakeholders.
·Proven ability to supervise and manage construction projects.
·Excellent organizational and time management skills.
·Valid driving license and willingness to travel to various project sites.
