Job description

Highways Control Centre Operator
We are currently recruiting for a customer-focused Control Centre Operator to join a team in London, providing incident response and support across key highway and tunnel contracts.

Key Responsibilities:
·Act as the first point of contact for enquiries, incidents, and service requests.
·Handle calls from partners, including police and local authorities, ensuring appropriate action is taken.
·Prioritise incoming calls and make effective decisions in a busy, fast-paced environment.
·Coordinate and support response teams deployed across the network.
·Maintain communication with traffic control centres and deployed resources during incidents.
·Record incident details accurately, updating logs and systems as required.
·Use mapping tools and computer systems to monitor situations and allocate resources.
·Assist with daily reporting by populating spreadsheets and inputting data.
·Promote health and safety in the workplace, leading by example.

Requirements:
·Experience in customer service, call handling, or operations in a fast-paced environment.
·Excellent communication and organisational skills.
·Ability to stay calm, think clearly, and make decisions under pressure.
·Comfortable using computers and learning new systems.
·Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
