Highways Asset Management Technician
 
Carrington West are currently recruiting for an experienced Highways Asset Management Technician for a contract position starting asap!
 
What you will be doing:
 
·Assist in the management and production of asset related data for the department to ensure accurate records are kept and made available
·Import data into various database and GIS Systems used by the Council
·Digitise and keep up to date highways mapping records, such as extent of highway, drainage, cables, street furniture, from past and future records
·Process data and provide information, such as statistics and maps, for relevant projects/requests
·Analyse data from variety of sources to produce feedback reports for management and asset owners
·Produce written responses to solicitors, utilities and others regarding highway searches and issues
·Responding to a series of standard enquiries that relate to highway improvements, traffic management schemes, extent of the public highway, highway status and road works
·Assist in the production and publishing of information for Communications Plans and Projects to meet required deadlines
·Distribute post, and assist with Freedom of Information requests within the Highways Assets team to meet required response timescales
 
What you will need to succeed:
 
·Experience of working in a Highways Asset Management related position
·Understanding of GIS
·Working knowledge of symology software
