Job description

Our client are a large ISP, operating across London. They are responsible for growing a Superfast Broadband Network across the UK Capital. As part of this they are involved in building a network of Fibre from the Data Centres, to exchange through to customers properties. They are one of few Telecoms companies doing full installation and construction, alongside their build partners.

They are looking for an interim Head of Health & Safety (6 months) or someone who would like to move into a permanent position in the long term. This role is for a chartered safety head, who has experience in Streetworks and build. Ideally from the Telecoms sector or a Utilities company.
 
The role would be heading up all H&S for Install and construction, this includes Civils, Fibre install and home install. Therefore you will need a good working knowledge of NRSWA and building regulations. You will be responsible for all site safety and therefore would need to influence a culture that promotes safety on all sites. The ideal candidate must have multi site experience and experience in ensuring a good process for managing multi site safety. You must have the charisma to be able to communicate with the CEO through to the site staff.
 
Responsibilities:
 
·Updating nd reviewing Policies and Procedures
·Ensuring all accreditations are monitored
·Reviewing legislation
·Promoting Safe Culture
·Work with Site management & H&S staff to deliver safe site work
·Ensure all equipment is suitable and maintained
·Deliver exceptional safety on multiple sites
 
The role is a 6 month contract or contract to perm role. The rate is £700 per day.
 
Requirements:
 
·Chartered IOSH
·NRSWA
·Full UK Driving License
·SMSTS (Desirable)
·Be influential
·Good planning
·Previous experience in a similar role
·Ability to manage several sites at once
·Ability to develop others to take responsibility of day to day safety
