This is truly a unique opportunity to work for a leading engineering consultancy to work as a head of digital/ digital engineering lead. The role will involve making sure the current projects are delivered to a high standard and work on growing the delivery of the consultancy.
The company are a leading civil engineering consultancy and working on some of the biggest infrastructure projects in the UK including HS2, TRU and other Network Rail schemes. They are based throughout the Midlands, Manchester, York and also have a major project in London. You will be required to cover these offices from time to time.
You will be leading a well established team of 40 whilst having 3 direct reports who are all head of their business units. You will report into the engineering director and act as the liaison between the team and the senior leadership team of the business. For this role you will need excellent stakeholder management and proven leadership skills.
A proven track record of organising, creating and setting up Information Management systems is a must and not just a background in running out pre set digital solution frameworks. The role will involve defining requirements and then establishment of these requirements and then make sure delivery through the project teams.
The role will also involve setting the digital engineering strategy for the future. A key highlighted growth area looking at setting up another revenue stream through delivering more consultancy services to clients outside of the project delivery teams.
Experience of using and working with Bentley software would be ideal.
Previous experience working for a major consultancy would be good but client side or main contractor experience would also be considered.
