My client are a local Health and Safety Consultancy providing a "one stop shop" for all environmental services, testing, sustainability and analysis requirements for Clients throughout the South East. The team in North Essex are currently recruiting for an Assistant Geo environmental Consultant, which will be a vital role to the Geo-environmental Team. The successful candidate will often be the main liaison with clients' onsite, covering a variety of aspects of the Geo-environmental Team.
 
Key Duties:
·To undertake site walkovers and assist in the preparation of Phase I Desk Studies with senior staff
·To oversee ground investigations for both contaminated land and geotechnics including soil and water sampling Logging of samples to BS5930 and preparation of engineers' logs using proprietary software
·Assist in the preparation of laboratory testing schedules for contamination and geotechnics
·Assist in the preparation of Phase II Ground Investigation reports Undertake gas and groundwater monitoring including sampling as necessary
·Undertake validation sampling Ensure that all monitoring equipment is serviced, in calibration and suitable for us Preparation of work packs for drilling operations
Requirements:
·Degree in Geology, Environmental Science, Civil Engineering or working towards one CSCS Card Current Driving Licence
·An understanding of site investigation techniques
