Graduate Quantity Surveyor - Highways Contractor
Are you a recent graduate eager to start your career in the construction industry? We're seeking a Graduate Quantity Surveyor to join our team at one of the UK's leading Tier 2 highways contractors. This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of a company that delivers essential infrastructure projects, where you'll play a key role in cost management and project delivery from day one.
Role & Responsibilities:
·Assist in the preparation of cost estimates, budgets, and valuations for highway construction projects.
·Support the management of subcontractor accounts, including procurement, payments, and final accounts.
·Work closely with the project management team to monitor and control project costs, ensuring value for money.
·Assist in contract administration, including the preparation of contractual documents and claims management.
·Conduct site visits to monitor progress and ensure that project specifications and budgets are being met.

Requirements:
·A degree in Quantity Surveying or a related field.
·Strong numerical, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
·Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
·A proactive and enthusiastic approach, with a willingness to learn and take on responsibility.
·Some understanding of highways or infrastructure projects is beneficial but not essential.
