Job Title: Network Steward
Location: Hounslow
Salary: £30,000 - £37,000 per annum


Are you passionate about maintaining and improving the highway infrastructure? Do you have a keen eye for detail and enjoy working in a fast-paced environment? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for a Network Steward to join our team in Hounslow.
As a Network Steward, you will be responsible for developing, implementing, improving, and maintaining a designated area of the borough's network. Your key tasks will include conducting inspections, assessments, and recording activities, managing finances within budget, and ensuring high-quality standards are met. Your focus will be on delivering excellent customer service and implementing objectives derived from legislation, Codes of Practice, national and London guidance, and relevant Business Plans.


Key Responsibilities:
·Conduct systematic and purposeful reviews of highway inspection, local environment quality assessment, and recording in the designated area.
·Implement agreed objectives in consultation with Line Management, ensuring compliance with legal guidance and performance targets.
·Engage in enforcement activities and educational behavior change programs to enhance the area.
·Work effectively under pressure and communicate with stakeholders at all levels.

 

Requirements:


·Education: You should have a standard of education that allows further training, relevant qualifications, and ongoing career development.
·Skills: Demonstrate an understanding of policy integration in planning and delivering local services in an urban environment. Possess excellent communication skills and the ability to build strong relationships. Have experience in problem-solving and working through complex issues. Be proficient in recording accurate data and analyzing large amounts of information.
·Experience: Show demonstrable experience with Highways inspection and assessment in an urban environment. Have experience supporting staff with diverse skills and administering work areas, promoting equality of opportunity and diversity in service delivery.
·Personal Qualities: This role is suitable for graduates or candidates keen to invest time in career development. We are looking for enthusiastic individuals to join our progressive team.
·Driving License: A valid driving license and access to a car for job-related travel.
