Are you a Geotechnical Engineer with experience working on site?
 
Do you have previous experience working on rail sites?
 
This is an excellent opportunity for a Geotechnical Engineer to work with a main contractor on the delivery of rail works on a major infrastructure project. The ideal candidate will have experience with on site field work.
 
Rate: £400/day, Outside IR35 (assessment to be completed)
Location: Birmingham
Duration: 6 months potential for extension
 
Requirements:
·Previous experience working on geotechnical works on site
·Previous experience using GPS
·Familiarity with logging requirements (BGS standards) and sampling processes
·BEng / BSc in Geotechnical Engineering / Geology or equivalent
·PTS
 
Responsibilities:
·Overseeing window sampling and ensuring logs are correct.
·Managing sample collection, bagging, labelling, and coordination for lab testing.
·Monitoring wells and taking readings.
·Using GPS to get coordinates and elevation
