Flood Risk Engineer
 
Are you a Flood Risk Engineer looking for your next contract role? I am currently recruiting for a Flood Risk Engineer to assist a client in Yorkshire on a temporary contract basis. The contract will initially be 6 months but there is scope for 3-4 years' worth of work.
 
The key responsibilities for the Flood Risk Engineer:
The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering either entire projects and/or individual phases of projects, as allocated by the client and after discussions between both parties on the tasks required. For pre-construction and construction related Tasks, the work required will typically include:
oFor pre-construction work, the candidate (a) undertaking all pre-construction information searches, (b) arranging all surveys and investigations, (c) undertaking all design work and obtaining all approvals, including, Principal Designer duties and reparation of all construction drawings and contract documentation, (d) assessment of construction tenders and (e) providing construction price setting support, through to the selection of a preferred Construction Supplier.
oShould the client be successful in securing capital funding for construction works on any of the 6 FAS projects they currently have, the candidate responsibilities will include for (f) construction management and supervisory services and (g) operational handover processes at the end of the project.
