Role: Electrical Project Engineer
Locations: London, Exeter, Wakefield and Nottingham
Rate: £250 - £350 p/d - Umbrella (Depending on experience)
Duration: 12 months+

My client is a Contractor looking to strengthen their delivery team for the remainder of the AMP7 funding cycle on their large framework portfolio on behalf of Severn Trent Water and Thames Water. The successful Project Engineer's will work with the project managers and construction teams, as well as the sub contractors to ensure the successful on site delivery of complex Non-Infrastructure projects in the water sector.
We currently have a need for 2 Project Engineer's (Mechanical & Electrical) to support on the clients most challenging water framework.
Due to the complexities involved, you MUST have experience as a Site Manager in the UK Water Sector, we can consider from a client side or contractor background providing you've worked with projects attached to UK Water Authorities.
Key requirements for the role are for individuals to have experience across delivery and the back end of the process, packaging the works, liaising with procurement, stakeholders and sub-contractors. A degree of design experience is needed for this role, enough to be able to discuss and kick back to the design partners in the joint venture, but this role is not to be doing detailed design in any capacity.
 
Responsibilities include:
 
·Undertake the role of the Project Manager as required.
·Undertake the role of Line Manager as required.
·Prepare or supervise own discipline designs, design calculations, tender documentation, scheme evaluations, design statements and other reports as identified in the Project Management Plan on assigned projects.
·Monitor quality of own discipline team work in accordance with good engineering practice, relevant standards, Codes of Practice, current design methods and Health & Safety legislation.
·Check/ approve own discipline work, including third party design proposals, as identified in the Project Management Plan on assigned projects.
·Carry out other duties identified in the Project Management Plan on assigned projects.
·Have a good understanding of all relevant standards, Codes of Practice, Health & Safety Legislation and current design methods and provide general technical support to own discipline team members.
·Assist with the preparation and maintenance of own discipline standard specifications as required.
·Assist with the promotion of the capabilities of the company to current and prospective clients.
·Assist with monitoring, planning and forecasting utilisation of project resources.
·Comply with BMS Procedures
