Electrical Engineer - Epsom/Bristol - Permanent (nuclear decommissioning)
Salary negotiable + Benefits package

We are looking for an experienced Electrical Engineer to work within the team on a major nuclear framework. The engineer will work with the site's Approval Authority Department who utilises a wealth of technical expertise to review design proposals in line with the nuclear safety case, both for existing and new connections. The engineer will be involved and report to a local MOD line manager who will deliver work and support for the role.
Responsibilities:
Review and agreement of all electrical design changes and proposals affecting the nuclear safety case onsite.
Perform detailed calculations to substantiate design changes.
Inspect systems and observe operations to ensure compliance with design intent, equipment specifications and regulatory standards.
Daily Tasks:
The detailed review of design and safety case data.
Review and comment on maintenance and survey results.
Liaising with other disciplines on design changes.
Design operations to agree workable design resolutions.
Liaising with naval and nuclear regulator staff to communicate engineering requirements for the site.
Qualifications/experience required:
Qualification in Building Services / Mechanical Engineering and Chartered with a relevant institution.
Experience in nuclear, defence or other related sectors
Extensive project experience, involving high levels of technical competence.
Experience working on a variety of projects
Demonstrable leadership and people management skills with the ability to run a team.
Good commercial awareness and business maagerial skills
Previous experience producing and reviewing contractual engineering documentation e.g, statement of requirements, scope of works, basis of design and specifications.
