Job description

Role: Electrical Commissioning Engineer
Location: North Scotland - Multiple Sites
Duration: 6 - 12 Months
Pay: Up to £420 p/d - OUTSIDE IR35
 
Are you an experienced Commissioning engineer with delivery experience in the water sector?
 
Do you have an electrical background with sound knowledge of the process from design to delivery?
 
My client is looking to fill an exciting position which will see the successful candidate come into a large tier 1 contractor for Scottish Water. The role would suit someone with an electrical bias ideally from a commissioning delivery background rather than design. Previous experience as a commissioning engineer in the water sector is highly advantageous.
 
This contract is eligible for outside IR35 engagement, You will be expected to work independently at times at multiple locations in a vast area of Northern Scotland.
 
You MUST have water sector experience to be considered for this position.
 
The below has more insight into what the ideal candidate should have knowledge and experience doing
 
·Good depth of understanding of Supply and Sewage water treatment and general knowledge of other industries
·Assist with and carry out all types of Low Voltage electrical work
·Interpretation of site drawings, and project and manufacturers information
·Panel drawings
·BCD/Loops/Schedules
·P&ID
·NICEIC Testing
·Fault finding/diagnostics without drawings and support
·Panel / Circuit modifications without drawings and support
·Capable of commissioning:
·Single plant items of general install, i.e. Floats, Ultra-sonic, flow-meter, DOL & S/D starters
·Adjust Siemens and ABB VSD settings for site application
·2 Pump Pumping Station
·Conduct training
·Whole MCC and plant areas
·Package plant
·Telemetry signals
·VSD and Simocode (parameters from default & set up of PID loops)
·Profibus
·Work with Systems Integrator with commissioning and modifications
·Navigate HMI/SCADA systems
·Personal health and safety and for others around you
·Liaise with customers and the public in an appropriate manner
·Good understanding of process risk for given task/project
·Documentation of work and record keeping
·Scheduling and coordinating work to tight deadlines
·Ensuring that equipment works to its specification
·Liaising with electricians/mechanical teams/project engineers
·Prepare RAMS
·Ensuring safe working conditions
·Support site/design and management teams
·Good depth of understanding of Supply and Sewage water treatment and general knowledge of other industries
·ProfiTrace report
·Work with Systems Integrator with commissioning and modifications
·Conduct Site Surveys
·Fault finding/diagnostics without drawings and support
·Panel / Circuit modifications without drawings and support
·Assist with writing commissioning documents and plan development
·Support CE3, site/design and management teams
·Any other duties, as required.
