Role: Ecologist ( must have at lease one protected species license

Are you an ecologist looking to work on projects in and around the Birmingham area.
 
Our client is looking to add an experienced Ecologists  to their environmental team based from their Birmingham office
 
As an Ecologist, you will join the established team of environmental specialists.  Project work will be varied in scope and scale ranging across a number of infrastructure based industry sectors.
 
The role will include the provision of ecological survey and reporting, design and delivery of ecological mitigation, provision of ecological advice.  As a result you will operate in both a site and office based capacity .
 
Key tasks for the role are:
- Undertaking environmental surveys and producing high quality reports including habitat and species surveys
- Undertaking ecological mitigation
- Liaising with ecological regulators and planning authorities
- Client liaison
- Delivering technical work on complex projects
Job requirements:
- Degree in a relevant subject
- Hold at least one license EG - GCN, bat, badger or similar  
- Proven experience of undertaking Preliminary Ecological Appraisals and producing high quality Ecological Impact Assessments and other technical reports
- Knowledge and experience of working in an advisory capacity on largescale construction projects
- Strong knowledge of relevant UK and European legislation, policy and guidance
- Good understanding of Habitats Regulations Assessment
- Experience of project co-ordination, budget management and Health and Safety risk management
- A full driving licence
 
Additional useful requirements - None essential
- CSCS card holder
- Hold multiple Natural England protected species licences
 
 
On offer is a full time permanent contract paying £30-35,000 per year + benefits
