Job Title: Deputy Roads Manager
 
Location: East London, UK
 
Salary: £45,000-£50,000 per annum
 
My client are responsible for a busy highways contract within London, managing tunnels, structures and other aspects as part of the scheme.
 
They're looking for a Deputy Roads Manager with good experience in term maintenance operations to join the team within London on a permanent basis.
 
Key Responsibilities of the Deputy Roads Manager:
·Managing the commercial aspects of the contract, including budget tracking, tender submissions and communicating with the commercial team
·Utilising asset management systems
·Ensuring contractual compliance within daily operations
·Overseeing aspects including traffic management arrangements and sub-contractors
·Liaising with key stakeholders when required
·Managing the Winter Maintenance works and highways inspections
·Implement and promote H&S on-site
·Assist in delivering the works on time and within budget
·Guiding the performance of a team by promoting a positive attitude within work
 
Key Requirements of the Deputy Roads Manager:
Essential:
·Degree in Civil Engineering (or equivalent)
·NRSWA Supervisor
·SMSTS
·Experience in term maintenance contracts
·Proficiency in Microsoft packages and asset management systems
·Health and Safety knowledge
·Full UK Driving License
Desirable:
·Highways asset management background
·Highways design and project management knowledge
·People management skills
·Good commercial acumen and working knowledge of NEC
·Ability to communicate with stakeholders
