Salary: Up to £36,000 p/a depending on experience + company car or car allowance

Are you a Consultant Ecologist looking for your next challenge within a leading Water & Ecology team?
 
My client is looking for a Consultant Ecologist to provide ecology consultancy to existing/new projects and provision of ecology support to pollution emergency response. The ideal candidate will be based within 3 hours of Wokingham as projects are based across the Midlands and the South of England.
 
Weekly contractual hours are 35 per week, with daily hours being 9am - 5pm, 5 days per week, with a 1 hour paid lunch break each day.
 
 
Your role will involve:
·Carrying out ecological and protected species site assessments of habitats and associated report writing, inclusive of habitat mapping;
·Providing advice to the team on potential ecological impacts on emergency and/or planned works;
·Assisting with business development, marketing quotations and tenders;
·Provide protect species and habitat mitigation strategies in line with current UK legislation and best working practices;
·Helping maintain and develop client relationships through effective project management and provision of excellent customer service.
 
Skills:
·Experience within an ecological consultancy;
·Hold a degree (or equivalent) in an environmental subject;
·Understand the principals and practice of key ecological field surveys;
·Hold or be working towards professional accreditation;
·Hold or be working towards protected species licences;
·Good understanding of wildlife legislation;
·A full & clean UK Driver's License is essential.
