Civil Enforcement Officer!
 
Location: Torridge
 
Key Responsibilities:
·Patrol & Enforcement: Conduct patrols of off-street parking areas and issue Penalty Charge Notices for non-compliant parking.
·Maintenance & Inspection: Inspect and maintain pay and display machines; report defects and ensure equipment functionality.
·Customer Service: Serve as the first point of contact for parking inquiries and assist the public with a positive and helpful attitude.
·Event Support: Reserve parking spaces for events and ensure signage is clear and up-to-date.
·Documentation: Maintain detailed daily records, and provide evidence for appeals and adjudication hearings.
Essential:
·Minimum 4 GCSEs (grade C or above) including English and Maths.
·Experience working with the public in potentially conflict situations.
·Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
·Full UK driving licence and willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
·Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with good decision-making and observational skills.
Desirable:
·City and Guilds Level 2 "On Street Parking Enforcement" or NVQ Level 2 "Controlling Parking Areas".
·Knowledge of the Traffic Management Act 2004.
