Job description
Are you a bridge engineer with experience working on large infrastructure projects?
Are you looking for your next contract position?
We are recruiting for multiple contract positions for rail bridge engineers and temporary work engineers, which will be working on the HS2 project.
My client is one of the Uk's biggest contractors and have multiple positions for senior and principal engineers.
This role will be working from home but ideally my client is looking for candidates who are based in the North West so long term they can be based from their Manchester office.
Rate: £40-£42 per hour - Senior Engineer
£44-£46 per hour - Principal Engineer (must be chartered)
Contract length: 6 months +
Job Role:
·Inspection and assessment of bridges, retaining walls and other civil structures
·Undertaking concept design, feasibility studies and preliminary design
·Design delivery of new structures or strengthening schemes
·Carry out TW design review and formal design checking (including checks on supply chain proposals).
Requirements:
·Relevant HNC or degree
·A minimum of 5 years of post-graduate experience
·Chartership is essential for the principal roles
·Experience working within a rail civils/ structural environment
·Previous experience working as a bridge engineer or temporary works engineer would be excellent
·Experience of Eurocodes, DMRB and Network Rail standards.
